Meaning of Jeevani is "LIFE (Living In Family Environment)"
How Jeevani born
I am S.V Prasad founder of the jeevani voluntary organization. I am working as a school teacher in one government municipal school where you will see mostly children with poverty and lack of regular needs. Here I need to tell you how jeevani was born.
That is Interval time in our school
I am looking into newspaper.
"Sir Sir look at neelima is having fifty rupees with her" shouted rest of the children. I moved my head up and looked at neelima.
She showed me fifty rupees and smiling.
"Today morning her parents came. They have given her some money and stuff to eat" told mounika by pointing neelima.
All these children reside in government hostel.
Then Raji told me with smile that " Sir..after looking at neelima's parents, kalama told that her pare to came to see her"
"Always kamala will do like that only sir. Whoever parents comes kamala will say that her parents came and will jump around the hostel surroundings with joy and happiness" told mounika with smile.
I didn't understood that and asked "why like that?".
"Kamala doesn't have anyone and somebody left her in the hostel two years back" told Raji.
After hearing to those words, I can't stop both my eyes getting wet, I am speechless and my heart was filled with lot of emotion.
I looked at kamala. She was looking at me with innocence and was feeling like whether I will point out her action.
I called kamala and encouraged by patting her back. She was very happy.
I have called all the children together and told them "Never say like that". I asked all the children "we are there for Kalama. Isn't it?"
All the children nodded their heads and shouted with joy.
This is how I was inspired to start jeevani.
About Jeevani
JEEVANI was founded in June 2009 in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh (Registration No. 14/2009). Jeevani is a non-profit organization and being supported by SRINIVASA RAMANUJAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (SRIT) Anantapur. The main aim of jeevani is to bring up orphaned, abandoned and destitute children in a homely atmosphere. We don't believe just in charity because it might provide food, clothes and shelter to some needy person but can't impart love, affection, care and warmth, necessary for healthy evolution that's JEEVANI is all about.
Jeevani strives to give the best possible education to every child in its care, and to ensure that children who leave it will be able to sustain themselves and their families in a decent and loving way. The jeevani foundation likes to think that it is building the foundations of a compassionate society through the love and peace that it offers to the children in its care. We are striving very hard to provide joy and happiness for all the children, so they can proudly call Jeevani their home.
Jeevani believes that Service is the rent we pay to be living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time because we cannot live for ourselves alone, our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results.
We always believe in..
Jeevani Obejective
The objective of jeevani is to bring up orphaned, abandoned and destitute children in a homely atmosphere. We help them shape their own futures. We help children overcome their past traumas and help them recognize and express their individual abilities , interests and talents. We ensure that children receive quality education and skills to be successful in life, become responsible and contributing members of the society. By doing this we want to create a new ecosystem which for generations produces good honest humanitarian citizens.
Jeevani Philosophy
We don't believe just in charity because it might provide food, clothes and shelter to some needy person but can't impart love, affection, care and warmth, necessary for healthy evolution of Man. Here at Jeevani we believe that man is the vital integral part of the society, because we cannot live for ourselves alone, our lives are connected and influenced by people around, so service must be the very purpose of life and it must be the only price we pay to be living in the society.
Jeevani wants to take forward the slogan "1% of earnings and 1% of time in life dedicated to service".
We feel that Service should not be the duty of a person or an organization alone; it's a collective participation by all of us. As a society it's our very duty to show compassion and look after all those in need, for which jeevani wants to be a platform for all of you to involve, contribute and build the foundations of a compassionate society through the love and affection that it offers to the children in its care.
Jeevani Values
Truth, Trust, Transparency: These are the core beliefs and attitudes on which our organization has been built. These values guide our actions and decisions as we work towards fulfilling our mission. We are dedicated to helping generations of children have a better life by nurturing lasting relationships with the society in which we are rooted, with our co-workers and with our donors. We believe in each other's abilities and potential. We support and respect one another, and build an environment where we can approach our responsibilities with confidence.
Empathy, Education, Empowerment: This progression is central to our belief of serving the underserved. Empathy for those denied, what everyone must get, must lead to their education so that they get economically empowered and are thus enabled to live a life of dignity and self reliance.
Jeevani Mission
Jeevani's mission is to transform orphaned, destitute and abandoned children's lives and make them into "Eternal Winners." We build families for children in need. We work for children who are orphaned, abandoned and abused and do not have natural families. We try and create a Family Environment for these children to promote family bonding, physical and mental health, social integration and enable them to experience the "Joy of Living."
We help them shape their own futures. We help children overcome their past traumas and help them recognize and express their individual abilities, interests and talents. We ensure that children receive quality education and skills training to be successful and contributing members of society.
I shall not live in vain
If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin.. Upto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain..

Jeevani Goals
"Where the vision is for one year cultivate flowers
Where the vision is for ten year cultivate trees and
Where the vision is for eternity cultivate people"
Jeevani believes in above words so we set following goals for ourselves.
To create a home for abandoned, destitute and orphaned children to give education and empower them with confidence and family bonding to lead their life with self-dignity.
To create a new ecosystem with these children that for generations produces good honest humanitarian citizens.
To create this we need to create our own world for which JEEVANI plans to establish a School "JEEVANI VIDYALAYAM"
